Writing cho Task 2 dùng: "Furthermore, in addition, consequently, moreover, in conclusion."

Nếu dùng same phrases trong Speaking → sounds memorized, awkward.

Speaking-appropriate linkers

Adding ideas

• Writing: Furthermore / Moreover / Additionally
• Speaking: "And another thing is..." / "On top of that..." / "Plus..." / "What's more..."

Contrasting

• Writing: However / Nevertheless / On the other hand
• Speaking: "But / Although / Mind you" / "Then again..." / "That said..." / "Having said that..."

Giving examples

• Writing: For instance / For example
• Speaking: "Like / Such as / Take X for example" / "You know, like when..."

Causation

• Writing: Consequently / As a result / Therefore
• Speaking: "So / Because of this / That's why..." / "Which means that..."

Concluding

• Writing: In conclusion / To summarize
• Speaking: "So basically..." / "All in all..." / "At the end of the day..." / "To wrap up..."

Thinking phrases (give yourself time)

These fill space while you think — natural in conversation:

• "Let me think for a moment..."
• "That's an interesting question..."
• "I haven't really thought about this before, but..."
• "Off the top of my head..."
• "If I had to give an answer..."

Use SPARINGLY (1-2 per response max).

Reformulation phrases

When you need to rephrase:

• "What I mean is..."
• "Or rather..."
• "To put it another way..."
• "In other words..." (safe for speaking too)

Opinion phrases

Vary opinion intro:

• "In my view..." / "From my perspective..."
• "I'd say that..." / "I would argue..."
• "To be honest..." / "Personally..."
• "It seems to me that..."
• "My take is..." (informal but acceptable)
