Summary Completion — word form analysis + position logic

Two variants

Variant 1: Choose from word list

Given 10-15 words, fill 5-8 blanks. Some words are paraphrases (need synonym matching).

Variant 2: Choose from passage

Fill blanks using EXACT words from text (NO MORE THAN N WORDS).

Step 1: Identify word class needed

Đọc summary với blanks, identify mỗi blank cần:

• Noun (preceded by "a/an/the", followed by verb)
• Verb (preceded by subject, often "to ___" infinitive)
• Adjective (preceded by "is/are", followed by noun)
• Adverb (modifies verb, often ends in -ly)

Ví dụ: "The researchers ___ that climate change..." → cần verb (suggest, found, argued, etc.)

Step 2: Identify topic location

Summary thường cover 1-2 paragraphs. Identify which paragraphs based on:

• Key noun in summary first sentence
• Topic keyword consistent throughout summary

Mỗi blank usually in same paragraph as nearby blank.

Step 3: Locate exact word

Scan target paragraph for synonym/exact word. Verify:

• Word class matches need
• Word makes grammatical sense in summary
• Word doesn't duplicate (each word only used ONCE in word list variant)

Common patterns

Pattern A: Subject + verb structure

Summary: "Pollution ___ the marine ecosystem." Text: "...has damaged coral reefs and disrupted fish populations." → Need verb expressing harm/damage. Answer: "damages" or "affects" or "harms" — depending on word list.
