Time management — 18-20 phút/passage strict allocation

Standard allocation

• Passage 1: 18 phút (easiest, finish in 16-17)
• Passage 2: 20 phút (medium)
• Passage 3: 22 phút (hardest, often academic)
• Buffer: 0-2 phút (transcription to answer sheet)

Mỗi passage = 13 questions. Budget per question = ~1.5 phút.

Within-passage breakdown

Minute 0-3: Initial scan

• Read title + first/last sentence each paragraph
• Identify passage type (process, historical, comparative, argumentative)
• Note any specific names/numbers/dates that jump out

Minute 3-15: Answer questions

• Do EASY questions first (TFNG, matching) — quick wins
• Save match heading + inference for last (time-consuming)
• Skip and mark question if stuck > 90 seconds

Minute 15-18: Return + verify

• Tackle skipped questions
• Quick verify uncertain answers
• Transcribe to answer sheet (if not done already)

When to skip

Skip a question if:

1. Spent > 90 seconds without finding answer location
2. Question requires re-reading large text section (return later)
3. Question type you're weakest at (do easier first, return)

Mark with circle in question paper. Return after finishing all 13 questions.
