I want to talk about a journey to Da Lat. I went there last year with my family. We went by car and it took about 7 hours from Ho Chi Minh City. Da Lat is a city in the mountains so the weather is cool. When we arrive, we visit many places like the flower garden and Xuan Huong lake. The food is very good, especially the strawberry. We stay there for 3 days. I think it is memorable because it is the first time my family go on a long trip together. Also, the weather is different from Ho Chi Minh City which is very hot. I really enjoy this trip and I want to come back again.

Every morning we would wander through the flower gardens around Xuan Huong Lake, and in the evenings we tried local specialities like grilled artichoke and fresh strawberries. What made the trip particularly memorable, though, was not just the scenery but the fact that it was the first proper holiday we had taken together in years. My parents had been working non-stop, so seeing them genuinely relax was something I will never forget. I have travelled to a few other places since, but that trip still stands out as one of my favourites.

We had booked a small homestay tucked away on the outskirts of town, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The host treated us like long-lost relatives, cooking us breakfast on the veranda each morning and pointing us towards spots that no guidebook would mention. What made the trip truly unforgettable, though, had nothing to do with the food or the lake or even the weather. It was watching my parents, who had been burning the candle at both ends for as long as I could remember, finally let their guard down and laugh again. Looking back, that journey was less about the destination and more about reconnecting — and that, I think, is what travel is really for.
