Question format

Task 1 may show:

• 2 maps of same place: 1995 vs 2020
• 1 current + 1 proposed plan
• Same location, different layout

Goal: describe changes between maps.

Structure 4-paragraph

Intro

Paraphrase: "The two maps illustrate changes to [location] between [year 1] and [year 2]."

Overview

2-3 sentences capturing MAIN changes:

• "Overall, the area transformed from rural/residential to commercial/urban..."
• "The most striking change is the addition/removal of..."
• "While some features remained unchanged, several major developments occurred..."

Body 1: First half of changes (e.g., north section)

Body 2: Second half of changes (e.g., south section)

OR split by type:

• Body 1: removals (what disappeared)
• Body 2: additions (what was built)
